Les Roches Retreat operates the website lesrochesretreat.com and manages six private luxury villas in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. References to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to Les Roches Retreat.

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:

• Booking requests: your name, email address, phone number, desired dates and number of guests.

• Visitor analytics: page visited, approximate country of origin, device type, and referral source — collected anonymously via our own analytics system (no third-party cookies).

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health information, financial data, identity documents) through this website.

• Booking requests: to respond to your enquiry, confirm availability and finalize your reservation via WhatsApp and email.
• Newsletter: to send occasional updates on availability, special offers and news about Les Roches. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics: to understand how visitors use our website and improve our content.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, we process your data under the following legal bases:

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure hosted in the EU). Booking request emails are processed via EmailJS, which transmits your data by email only and does not store it.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

6. Data retention

• Booking enquiries: retained for 3 years after your last interaction with us.
• Newsletter emails: retained until you unsubscribe.
• Analytics data: retained for 13 months on a rolling basis.

7. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and our own first-party analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. A cookie consent banner is displayed on your first visit and you may change your preferences at any time.

8. Your rights
